I was just at a mini-arcade last night--its actually part of a sports bar where parent's send their kids while they eat.  Anyways, between everyone being waist high or lower and dumb kids who think sticking their head between yours and the game is a good idea, it wasn't as much fun.  Half the games were a dollar to play and the only pin was so beat up it was almost unplayable.  We are going looking for some others in our (burlington) area so if you know of some good ones let me know.  I will subsist on MAME in the meantime  :'(

menace: where are you located?  I've got a Burlington in my state too, but I'm doubting we're close.

Yeah your right. Arcades are not what they use to be.  They have to compete with the home console market.  Which means the games have to have specialized controles, or be a ticket machine. Then there is the fighting games.... that will come out to the home console in six months.  Here in Omaha there is a big arcade http://www.familyfuncenter.net/home-center.htm that has been around for 20 years.  When I moved here in '95', I loved going there there was a room up stairs dedicated to the classic games.   I went there a couple of months ago and they converted that room for lan partys.

Or Clark County.  Every state has one of those.  Did y'all know, though, that Clark County, Nevada is the only county in the state in which prostitution is not legal?  I've found that a surprisingly few Americans are aware that there are legal brothels in their own country.

If I remember correctly shmokes, Washoe county dosent have legalized prostitution there either.  Thats why the mustang ranch was right outside the county line  10 miles out of Reno ;D

I have the pleasure of living about 2 1/2 hours away.  I've been there three times.
