As per the title I have spent an age trying to get dual guns working, I have tried setting them as instructed here http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,100010.msg1087539.html#msg1087539

For some reason I just cant suss it out

Perhaps you need Troubleshooter 2:

I've only used it for Model 2 games but it works wonders on that. HOTD 3 PC is supported.
