mame joystick problem
« on: November 12, 2003, 03:03:54 am »
Hi, have a problem with my joystick firebuttons not working.
I am using an arcade joystick with arcade monitor with jpac hooked to my pc.

I am running win98. With dos advmane and dos advmenu.
Player 1 buttons all work player 2 1,2,3,4 work 5,6 dont
(5=mid kick in sf2) (6=hard kick)

i tested in notpad to see if jpac and buttons work they all did.
My guess the buttons arnt setup.

How do i setup the buttons ? I tried tab in advmenu but it doesnt work.

Thanks in advance  ;D

Have you tried hitting tab during a game, so you can redefine the controls?

It never ceases to amaze me how people get entire Mame cabinets built, and still have no idea how to remap the controls.

. Thanks heaps. I spent a few hours pulling the controls and everything apart duhhhh.
I normally dont have any problems must be a long day.

I was using mame32 before and edited the keys with that. Before droping it and going for dos mame.

I was trying to edit the controls in advmemu hmmmm mistake there.

Anywayz all is sweet back to sf2  ;D Cheers mate
