Concave, Short Barrel Buttons
« on: May 28, 2013, 08:34:34 am »
Hi guys,

I'm looking for some arcade buttons with the concave plunger of a HAPP button but the overall height of a Sanwa button, preferably in 24mm diameter. The height is the important factor here because the button is going in a guitar and not an arcade machine.

So I've been googling arcade buttons for two days now (and for more hours than I care to admit) and it seems that my only choices are;

a) the elusive 'candy cab' buttons, which I can't seem to find anywhere (and don't seem that concave anyway)

b) buy a HAPP button....and take a saw to it.....which most likely won't work out,

or

c) buy a sanwa and a HAPP and try to surgically transplant one's plunger into the other's surround.....

So what I'm really looking for is a very short HAPP style button, let me know what your opinions are!

Le Chuck

The goldleaf by ultimarc has an integrated switch. Might be short enough.

Thanks for your help, I've decided to just go with the Sanwa buttons,

For anyone else wondering, the Goldleaf buttons are 41mm high (with 34mm below the mounting surface) This would barely fit my purpose with mm's to spare so I didn't want to risk it and bought a bright blue Sanwa instead.
