Pc Monitor screen adjustment
« on: November 10, 2003, 09:11:28 am »
Hi ppls This is my 1st post I currently have a arcade machine almost ready just have to mount a monitor and buy a i-pac, I have a 20 inch cabniet low boy clone I think anyways I thought to my self ill try some games out on my new old monitor its a 20 inch ezio multiscan 9500.
My problem is when i change resoultions ..all the time in mame the screen needs to be re adjusted to the centre all the time and theres no memory to save these setting on the monitor its and its not smart enough to figure the screen would be better in the middle like most modern monitors crt or lcds, I even have to adjust it just for windows its a pain and impossible if i put it in the cabniet.

Is there any software that can fix this problem for older monitors using another version of mame would be ok to fix it but I would rather a universal one that can handle everything else too.

Any help would be great ...anyone else has had this or has this problem too ???

If your monitor can't "remember" settings for different resolutions, I'd suggest having mame run all the games at the same resolution.  You can set this in the mame.ini file.
