Pentranic CH-281-38 Repair (Manual needed)
« on: April 10, 2013, 02:40:32 am »
Hey Everyone,

I am looking for a service manual for a 33"-38" Pentranic 15k CH-281-38 chasis

I am going to be recapping this and investigating some bleeding issues for someone.

The monitor is fine issues lay in the board i believe it is going to be in the neck.
It has been recapped recently by someone and i am not sure of the job they have done as new issues raised afterwards.

This creates a problem as i do not know the caps are in there are correct and without a capmap it makes it hard

Yes I saw the post and have not had time to find the schematic, probably have it on another hard drive, but it may be in an Orcad format. Might be able to convert it to PDF.
Having said all that this is a low cost board, single video amp..

No Caps on the neckboard, try reducing the brightness setting and increasing the G2 (Screen control) the video transistors are likely overdriven,

If you need an OrCAD schematic PDF'd and don't have a good way to do it, let me know.  My ECAD package can read them just fine.

He had a very good look for me provided a schematic for a similar board which will be good for fault finding.
However no part list yet.

Im still on the hunt! if anyone has one laying around let me know!

they just did some :mod's:
to fit the need..if u catch the drift?
the u want to look for is akin to a :go8:
it was made by electrohome
when in reality it was made by haitchi
go fig..
he sent u what he has....
voltage's are not in q here,what is q, do u have a > volt meter?< ?
as beside's a :basic: cap kit, u will want to look at a few other cap's that tend to go :south: as it is said
that unit is over 20 old year's old
