Neo Geo with hantarex polo, vertical scrolling

This is my first time seeing the inside of a neo geo and I have no experience with a hantarex, it appears there is no vertical pot. there's a connection for V/H/RGB but it goes directly into the board. I'm sure you guys with experience on these things know what I'm talking about.
Now I'm hoping this isn't a resistor issue and that there is actually a way to manually adjust the vertical scrolling on this thing.
Any tips would be appreciated

well after a few hours of messing with it I made this post. 5 min later I removed the front panel and found it in there.
all fixed now

I've been there before where a simple solution just eludes you and then it's like oh.

at least you came back and posted the fix too, despite you thinking it was dumb and obvious, someone else will do it too and hopefully they find this thread and you end up helping someone

Good point. On a related note, this was definitely worth the $50 I bought it for!
I almost feel like I stole it. Working neogeo 2  cart system with samurai showdown 4 and 1 free slot. Found 2 key mechs floating around inside the machine and it looks like there's another one in the coin drop but I have to drill it open
