Arachnid English Mark Dartboard - Model AD 4500

I picked up a board recently and have a few questions about some possible repairs on it.

Probably about half the segments don't register a mark when hit. Some of them work sometimes, and then sometimes wont. I don't see any visible tips stuck at all..

I have no idea where to start in diagnosing the problem. Everything else works as it should for the most part.

First thing is to take the target head apart and clean it out. Broken tips find their way behind the rubber damper and switch matrix which causes stuck switches.

I take it the target headis the actual board itself, right?

Ok I have taken the board apart and do not see anything too out of the ordinary..

There was only 2 segments that each had 1 tip inside. The rest of them when shaken do not make any noise at all, telling me there is nothing inside..

The 2 plastic matrix pieces had been a little stuck together. Idk if they had a very small amount of glue on them or what.

Can i clean them without damaging them? Also can i wash the segments?

What else should I look for?

Ok it seems I may have found the problem. After looking closely at the 3 ribbon connectors, I noticed a small tear in one of them. If seems I now need a new matrix..

Can anyone please point be in the direction of buying one? Or are there other ones that can be swapped out to work with the 4500?

Get the part number of it from the manual and contact the parts departments of your local and national Arachnid distributors. Also look on ebay.
