Anyone here in the Fargo area?
« on: November 07, 2003, 02:20:08 pm »
When I was talking to the guy at the local amusement/vending company today, he told me there are several people in Fargo building their own mame machines and was pretty sure most of them came to this board.

Anyone?

Is there actually another Fargo??

Clok, what'd you build?

That makes 3 of us in Fargo. 3 more and we've got 3-on-3 with a half court. Then again, who needs basketball when everyone has a mame machine... lol

btw, just to let you know...

if you find an old fence... dig and you might find yourself a million bucks!

Just don't piss off the tall silent one... He might put you through the shredder!

Lilwolf, is that a riddle??

Hey Clok, I was just checking out some of your previous posts and came across one about 80's metal. You're not the guy who stole my 80's collection out of my car, are you? *grin* lol

However got yours, got mine.. well some of them...I have since replaced um all... (80's metal).

I have dug by every fence like the one in the movie I have seen..no luck (Just FYI, that is about the only acurate scene in the movie... miles of nothing but snow and fence lines and telephone poles).

Built a 4 player, trackball with soon to be installed Oscar DOT spinner.. its sitting on my machine waiting for some time to install.. If any of you Fargo people want to take a look at some quality spinner work..give me a shout.. Oscar makes some sweet stuff.

Clok,

Ordered an Oscar Vortex with their new tempest knob this morning... :) (Well, and an ipac, and an optipac, and a trackball...)

It's officially a project.

Now I'm trying to research the bare minimum specs of the PC guts I need.  A complete list. I found a guy who's got a ton of old parts willing to donate some...

Any of you Fargo guys go to the lans in town?

Mush, what games are you going to run? My machine currently has a 700 Duron in it (I know, i Know.. its slow, but when I built my machine it was fast) and almost everything plays fine. Hit the Ice and a couple other games play to slow... then of course there are the ones that require a crapload of CPU ... I have a 2100AMD sitting here that will be going in arcade machine when I get around to it..
