  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
I recently purchased a 2004 GT Fore, all in its original cabinet. I'd like to saw off the back, replace the monitor with a flat screen and make a mount.  I'm not concerned about tearing it apart or building the mount, I'm more concerned about hooking up the video and audio to a new flat screen.

Questions are:

How complicated is the wiring once I unhook the old monitor and audio?

Will the current video look right on a newer flat screen?

Anyone have project pics or step by step from a completed project?

Thanks,

  • I break stuff...then fix it...sometimes
be more concerened with the resolution.

the IT games often put out odd resolutions not all monitors support.

Have there been similar threads discussing this topic?  I'd like to get an idea of how much wiring is involved or how close it is to plug n play before I rip this bad boy apart.

They make converter boards. That's going to be your best bet with something like that.

Here is an option it is our industrial open frame LCD that is custom programmed to accept pretty much all of the native resolutions.
Always happy to help.., for the best in displays
