i did something unbeleivebly cool today i beat marvel VS capcom the REAL game at pizza hut on 50 cents

.

i am the supreme capcom master!! YEAH!!

when i beat it i was like the game must be on easy or something..

i used morrigan and spider man to beat the game..

i beat 3 guys and the whole game with 50 cents did i mention it takes 50 cents to play??

i guess playing it everyday on MAME32 payed off big time

anyway has anyone else beaten a game without continuing??

this makes number 2 to my list!!

games i beat with out continueing

1.samurai showdown 4...using genjuro

2. marvel vs capcom...using morrigan and spider man

i bet if the guy who owned the machine saw me beat the would game wet his pants i bet...LOL

and i thought arcade games were just ment to take your money

Actually, with the dismal earnings most games are taking in lately, he would probably be happy if you just stood there and beat it over and over again at 50 cents per go. That would still be more money than the nothing that the machine is probably usually earning.

Lets see, stuff I have beaten on one credit.

Star Wars Trilogy Arcade - Best game to date was finishing the game on one credit, with 100 percent life left (having beaten both bonus rounds flawlessly too). I actually took several hits on both level 1 and 2, but not enough that I didn't fully regenerate for the next level. My best game healthwise was one where I only took a single hit (on the final level).
Money Puzzle Exchanger.
Uo Poko
Pac-Man (just kidding, although I usually lose my first man on the first screen where the ghosts stop turning blue, usually just slamming right into one after eating a pellet).
Contra (Playchoice). I can actually beat quite a few games on Playchoice with a single credit (provided you have the machine set to like 1000 seconds for a credit).

Stuff I am still working on trying to beat on one credit.

D&D Tower of Doom (I think it takes me 3).
Final Fight. (First arcade game I ever beat, still can't do it onone credit, it is that darn guy with the two swords in that boxing ring that gets me every time).

Stuff I have beaten with one credit:

X-Men Vs. Street Fighter using Akuma and Cyclops
Street Fighter Alpha 3 using A-Ism Akuma
Tekkan Tag Team Tournament using Hwarong (sp) and the old guy... forget his name

Anyone remember a game Virtual-On Cyber Troopers? It was a mech style fighting game, all polygons... awesome game. I think my longest time playing on one credit was on that game. Beat like 37 human players and after they gave up went on to beat the computer. My arms were stiff for like the next day (it has dual joysticks for controlling your mech). My weapon of choice was Temjin. Fei-Yen was my second.

Police Trainer, didn't lose a single round
Tekken 2, Kuma
Time Crisis 2
X-Men, Children of the Atom

But then again, as Snaaake says, "beating the AI is less than nothing"

How do you play online? The only online version i know of is xbox.

There's a program you can get to play MAME online. I don't I've never used it and don't remember what it's called, but I think it starts with a K

Back when I played in an arcade in my small town. hiscores at the end of each month got some free McDonalds food.

So on the last day I would go in and play superbasketball for a couple of hours. I had a friend who was pretty good too, once I got the hiscore, would show it, then go get my food while my friend played, come back and take over till I was bored.

I can barely remember what the scores I got were, of course this was mid-early 80's.

Now on Mame can not get enough Cyberball. After I build me a cabinet, gonna try to figure out the splice they used to control two moniters with one box, so I can recreate a Tournament machine.

Ok, seriously I don't play to many games with endings, I think I beat Blood Bros in the arcade on one credit or came very close.

I've never beaten an arcade game....like....ever....

I think because I used to watch the guys who would stand around and actually try to *beat* the games....and...those guys tended to be real jerks. Like "Wanna play me? I can beat you so bad...I'm SOOO good"...yikes! I'd go play something else!
