MAG-Stik Plus joystick issue
« on: March 05, 2013, 12:09:18 pm »
Just started doing some initial testing with this stick and I notice if I am pushing left on the joystick and I release just to go to center the game I am playing goes right.  Example "Run and Gun."  If I want to go to the left side of the screen and sit I can go left fine but when I release the left my player wants to run right when my hands are away from the stick.  I can get it to stop by pressing up or down.  Any ideas on how to fix this?  I noticed this also in other games but it really started to show its ugly head in R+G.
Thanks,
Rich

off the cuff I would say that you should check to see if one of your microswitches is out of alignment and thus causing the issue you are seeing in the neutral position.

removed the switch and pressed in a lever so it was not extended so far and all seems good now.  thanks for the advice!

That's the thing about springy close-action stuff. It has....degrees of freedom.
