Any1 ever see one of these before? Is this an actual arcade machine or was it hacked into this by someone?

It looks cool but $600 seems awefull steep unless its some kind of rare collectable.

These are the new "3 in 1" JAMMA boards as reported on the rec.games.video.arcade.collecting newsgroup. I just finished building two of these full sized games. These are JAMMA boards with 3 popular vertical games in them. They have a hard dip switch setting to use either a standard CGA resolution monitor or a VGA monitor. Game play is the same as the originals but on new hardware. That price on that auction is a good one since the 3 in 1 board sells for around $350 and you figure the monitor is $250. Then you add in the price of the cabinet and power supply. I say it's a bargain.

I've been playing the two game cabinets with these boards for several days now and they've run just fine. I like them and these two games will be going on the route next week!

Oh wow. I didn't know they supported VGA monitors. That would make for a very cheap non-mame based cocktail. (Since old 14" PC monitors are WAY cheaper than 13" arcade monitors).

Yup, there's a VGA monitor connector on-board as well as an audio (line level) output jack and 4 pin power connector. If you use the traditional JAMMA connector power video and speaker are connected there. The built-in amplifier will drive speakers directly and you use the setup menu to adjust the volume level (programmable volume). The board supports up to two seperate coin switch inputs and two coin counting meters as per standard JAMMA specs. Service credits (free credit switch) and self test switches are supported. In the setup menu you can set the game on free play or coin play.

the newsgroups have also said these games are "emulated" not the real games, which makes sense. also word is the sound is not up to par.

Damm I was going to say the sounds are not right. I was told the pitch is diffrent.

I've played these games for 3 days and could not detect any sound problems or anything out of the ordinary. It's a regular JAMMA board.
