Killer Instinct 2 RGB/fade
« on: February 26, 2013, 04:24:46 am »
Buddy of mine has an all original KI2 cab and the video has turned tits up. Powersupply blew about 6 months ago and he replaced it with new OEM.

After the install, the image has turned to greyscale and lost most of its luminosity (native brightness is close to 30%).

I thought it might need a new 8-liners chassis (which I've installed before on my own Midway cab), but wanted to run it by the forum pros (Ken?) before I tell him to spend $100 on something he doesn’t need.

Thoughts? If someone has a few troubleshooting tips to throw my way I'd appreciate it!  :dunno

Have you tried any other games boards in the cabinet and is the jamma harness providing the right voltage to the pcb?

No other boards on hand to test with and no schematic either. What should the HV and RGB read?

Where are you at? If you're local to me I have a jamma board you can use to test
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

welp best I can do is ship you a board and you just ship it back to me. I use a horseshoes game PCB cause its super tiny, unless someone one closer to you has one. LMK
