Wells Gardner parts
« on: February 23, 2013, 11:29:51 am »
First post here.  Thanks to all who contributes and helps me expand my knowledge of monitor repair.
Question:  Since I have a pile of WG monitor chassis that need repair and the ones that give me real challenges are the mid-res models.  K7500 and U5000.  Found some of your posts to be very helpful and sure enough the problems stated here turned out to be spot on.
So, the problem now, finding parts.  Does anyone know where to get any 10K ohm at 10 watt resistors, thermal sil pads for HOTs, and heat sink for Q705.  If you can believe the updates were never done to any of these chassis. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/Smileys/default/shocked.gif Thanks in advance, Ed.

Shipping something from the U.S. to Canada for repair/exchange?  Please use USPS to avoid (additional?/excessive?) shipping charges.  PM me if you have any questions.

Some of the more esoteric (used primarily on CRT monitors) parts like transistors can sometimes be found more easily at MCM electronics.  Standard stuff like resistors, caps, etc., Digi-Key/Mouser as mentioned.  Also check Newark, and sometimes Jameco will happen to have what you need.
