Capcom Arcade Cabinet" for PSN and XBLA
« on: February 21, 2013, 06:31:30 am »
http://marketplace.xbox.com/Product/CAPCOM-ARCADE-CABINET/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d80258411259

Bought CAPCOM Arcade Cabinet yesterday (400 MS Live! Points). No problems running this in a cabinet for those who wanna do that.

* Full screen 4:3 (ain't no forced wide screen-bull)
* Manual zoom and positioning, multiple full screen options
* Scanlines and smoothing available (look crap in 480p, might look good in higher res)
* Screen and menu rotate (play horizontal games on a vertical screen, aka TATE if you wanna)
* Region select for all games (Japanese/International)
* Coin on/off
* All games have assignable autofire buttons (you have to assign regular shots though or you can't leave the controls menu)
* Wallpapers for 16:9 screens
* Sound settings (Equalizer, stereo/mono, volume)
* Online Leaderboards, replay recording and replay downloads
* Casual mode (making these games a breeze joke to complete)
Trial versions of Ghost 'n Goblins, GunSmoke. and Section Z included already.

Pics of them running in my cabinet:

As there are significant changes to the games (copyright screens, attract mode even when credits are available), I don't think they're being emulated but rather well ported.  :cheers:

Capcom seems to have a healthy respect for their arcade franchises- the PS2 compilations were well done too.
Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Super Mario Bros (arcade hardware- light restore) Tetris Cocktail (SNES), Arcade Classics upright (60-in-1, then MAME), Multi-Raiden (arcade hardware). Pac Man vs.(Gamecube),

Working on: Pinball Re-theme, Homebrew arcade arena shooter

Thanks for the detailed info.
TATE support + 480 full screen = I'm in love.  I'll have to get my non banned x360 on XBL again and give this a try.
