Another option is Jakobud's plans if you're looking for a particular classic cab profile.

Some of his plans need a little adjustment to work perfectly IIRC, but they're a good starting point.

Thanks a lot Razzer. I didn't want to build a cabinet until I got specific plans of a design I liked and was going to figure out the theme later... but your machine is exactly what I want. Much appreciated sir 

After it's built, figuring out the beast mame and how to get everything synced together correctly is going to be something else entirely...

Any 3 points can be used to make a circle.  This link explains it better than I could type.

Another way to do this is once you have chosen the width of the control panel (two points), bend a flexible piece of cardboard, plexiglass, cutting board to trace the arc you want between those places.

Either way should get you around.

How is a cut like this measured?

You need what is called a beam compass. It essentially does the same thing as a pencil compass, but on a larger scale. There are rod types, and retractable tape ones too. If you only want a slight curve instead of a perfect 180* half circle, set your pivot point further back and extend the rod/tape.
