WinUAELoader configuration
« on: February 09, 2013, 02:09:33 pm »
I'm hoping Headkaze sees this and can help :)

After some troubleshooting and lots of trial and error I think I've finally figured out why I was having so much trouble getting WinUAELoader to work properly on my arcade cabinet.  Essentially it boils down to the fact that there are certain combinations of cpu emulation and display settings in WinUAE that just don't agree with my video card (ArcadeVGA gen1 on a Betson Kortek 2914).  So now that I know which settings to avoid I know exactly which settings I need to use in order to get WinUAE (and WinUAELoader) to work properly... that's where I need your help, Headkaze!

Would it be possible for you to expose more VSync settings?  Right now I can only choose to enable or disable VSync, which defaults to Legacy VSync, but that one causes some speed issues on my cabinet, especially when combined with certain cpu settings like "fastest possible".  There's something about that combo which just brings WinUAE to its knees on my system.  I need "Low Latency VSync" in order for everything to work properly.

Thanks for making this tool, btw.  I don't think getting the Amiga working on an arcade cabinet would be something I would want to try without it.

I've released a new version of WinUAE Loader that adds the latest video options. Download it here

Awesome! Thanks, Headkaze!  I'll try it out this weekend if I can get a day off from work.  :dizzy:

Finally got a day off today and I was just able to test it and it seems to work great.  Thanks, Headkaze!  :notworthy:
