EDIT ** It was a faulty receiver.....

Hey guys,

I used to have this running on my old pc without issues (given it was only one controller at that stage).

Years go by, the only receiver gets misplaced, I buy a new one off ebay, got to setup (windows 7 64) and I can get the drivers working etc as per..

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,113415.msg1204639.html#msg1204639

Anyways....

Issue is that my controller disconnects every 10 - 20 seconds and reconnects.. I have tried

- new batteries
- alternate controllers
- disabling wifi keyboard (seemed to work and I managed to get one controller to stay stable for 30 mins)...but again on retesting same issue, I must have got lucky that one time
- Issue really started when trying to use more than one controller at once (which defeats the purpose for me buying as I want to eventually get all 4 working)

Other little annoyances,

If I connect one controller (and yes it will still dc) as soon as I add another It will try to take over the previous controllers assignment...eg player 1 and controller that was pre-synced will flash 4 green and try to connect, then connects as player 2.... again this all only statys current for about 10 - 20 seconds then they start looking again...

So the basics, I want to manage to get 1 controller working and stable then I'll worry about player 2 (I wend out and bought a usb kb and removed the wireless kb just to be sure,,, issue exists.

EDIT*** Looks like I have 2 more things to try

#1 - turn off wifi router and see if issue persists, if so try switching wifi channels...
#2 - Plug receiver into powered usb hub and test - apparrently there are power issues at times.

Will report on progressm unless anyone has any other ideas.
Cheers
V

Last ditch attempts

- confirmed its not the wireless router interfering
- also confirmed its not a lack of power as the same issuer persisted through a powered hub.
I was able to get controller one to stay on when plugged directly into the back usb port, as soon as #2 comes into it mayhem.
