Im wanting to use if possible then new universal chassis on the medium tube if you think it will work . The chassis is standard res but the tube well has a u5000 chassis and is for the game war gods which uses med resolution.

i am confused, the monitor chassis you have at present is a u5000 wells gardner
it is manually switched from 15k to 24k by use of the jumper plug i described
in other words you can run 15khz or 24khz games on this chassis by moving the frequency jumper

Correct that is my u5000 tha something is wrong with at times the image goes to just a bright colorful 1 line across the center screen, so I was wondering could i use this new universal chassis that is standard res on this monitor tube and it work properly I know that this tube has i think 1 extra pin on the tube neck

u5000 yoke is almost same as hantarex polo so i would expect any cga low impedence chassis of 25" to work

your line is vertical collapse which is most likely bad solder or capacitor-if it were the ic then it would fail constantly

Wells monitors are famous for bad solder joints.  Just touch up everything in the vertical section and you've probably got yourself a working board for essentially free rather than having to buy a new universal boardset.  Then again, the U5000 is somewhat problem prone.  Up to you...

Well I have a spare chassis its the one in the video on the ground, I just didint want to hook it up and screw up the tube if that standard chassis would not work on that med res tube

yoke specs for u5000 are
vertical 5 ohms
horizontal 1.8 ohms

according to that chassis info it will not work with your yoke

thing is most low impedence cga chassis tend to work fine on other tube/yoke combinations
