k7000 horizontal issue
« on: December 01, 2012, 01:35:38 pm »
ok so i have this k7000 chassis that im trying to fix up. it is a p538 chassis so it should be setup for 25". but when i first put in the chassis the screen is to small and the brand new horizontal width coil isnt changing the size? i decided i had an older 7000 parts chassis and looked at the c38 as that can be an issue with size sometimes. but i had the same cap so no luck there. the board was recapped and the pic looks great just isnt the right size and i cant change it.

edit:
One another k7000 i just capped it because it seemed to be to dim even with flyback screen turned all the way up. im assuming the flyback is dying on this one?

yes you may need to change out C38 for a smaller value.

on the second chassis change out the flyback.
it is only a matter of time till it goes out and kills more parts.

also check out my youtube channel for monitor repairs i have done.
