just as the sub says the flyback has been replaced as it was getting blurry after 5 to 10 mins of play and you couldnt change it on the flyback to get better but the new flyback just clicks...low sounding click click click etc. checked and replaced the hot just in case still nothing.

put the old flyback back in and see if it works as before-could be a faulty flyback

make sure you haven't mixed up the focus and grid wires. Don't go by colors.

yup figured out it was the wrong flyback. it was one for a u3000 instead of the k7500. so that is solved..now i just need to finish up a few more and we will be golden

I'm not meaning to hijack here, but...

Of the two smaller red wires from a replacement flyback, which one replaces the white wire on the original?
I have 053x0671-001 as a replacement.
There is one, smaller red wire coming from the bottom while the other comes from the top.

flyback wires to neck card are focus and screen volts
focus is always thicker gauge of the two

generally the wire coming from the top is focus(goes the crt socket)-not all flybacks are like that though so i always go on thickness of wire
