anybody knows if I can just have the effects on not the music, if so how do I do it?

load up mameuifx
load kung fu master
bring up the mame config menu (default key: TAB)
go into the slider controls menu
where it says: speaker ':mono': ay-3-8910a ':ay1' volume  .. set that to 0.00
