You could even play games while watching tv via picture in picture if your tv could do that ;)

You could always put a TV tuner in your computer and use a monitor. ;)

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, as I need a Mame/Jamma cabinet with a horizontal monitor and it'd be nice if I could watch TV and maybe use the internet on it too. A PC monitor with an external tv-tuner box seems to be the way to go, but is there a way to hook up an arcade RGB signal to a PC monitor without spening too much?

I know of these converters:

but I don't have that much cash right now.

???

I know certain monitors have RGB hookups on them.   A friend of mine bought a used 21 inch viewable recentally that back in the day probably cost about 700 bucks I think he paid 200-300 for it and it has this special cable that takes either vga or RGB so if you really did some looking maybe you could find one of those.

Also I used to work on computers that used RGB monitors I think they where UNIX but I cant remeber but maybe there is a video card that outputs it then you could maybe use a arcade monitor but I really dont know.
