Nintendo "VS The Goonies" Marquee/Artwork
« on: October 27, 2003, 10:14:57 pm »
I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get a hold of a Nintendo "VS The Goonies" Marquee (there is one in the BYOAC Marquee section - but it looks terrible), or how I could find the artwork for it in high resolution for printing purposes.  I also want the extra artwork for the game in high resolution as well (of Mikey avoiding fire and rats).  The following quick link will show you the 2 exact things I am after.  Any help would be much appreciated, because when I copy these images into illustrator, I can't enlargen them (very pixelated and blurry, and writing unreadable).  I have looked everywhere on the net with no luck.

Thanks.

That was never a popular game... good luck finding a decent pic of the marquee let alone a high res one :(

Bummer.

What about high res images of The Goonies so that I can re-create them myself?  Anyone?

If you want an artistic portrait of the goonies--you can lift it off their dvd--dvdcoverart.com has this and other dvd covers--if you want their videogame counterparts--I have no ideas?!

By the way how the hell do oyu play this game??  I tired the other night and it didn't seem to go anywhere  :P
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

I never played the arcade version I just played Goonies II on NES, which was actually the same thing as Goonies for arcade.  It's a long confusing game and doesn't even follow the story line for the movie. In the end you have to rescue some Mermaid or something.  And there wasn't even a Goonies I game.... they decided to go straight to part II...

Jakobud, actually they are 2 distinctive games.  vs. The Goonies was released on the Nintendo arcade system, and was only released on the Famicom (Japan) for home use (it sketchily follows the storyline of the movie - you have to 'play the bones', etc).  Goonies II was released worldwide on the NES shortly after.

I found a marquee of the arcade game at emdkay.com (reproduction), but I'm not sure whether the quality is going to be any good.  I'm a bit hesitant, but I desparately want it.

The 2600 Apreciation Society starts now!

I had been to that site before a while ago but forgot all about it when I started looking for Nintendo's vs The Goonies marquee.

Thank you!!!

The quality is very nice indeed - exactly what I was hoping for.

Wow I stand corrected!  I didnt think in a million years you would find a high res version of Vs Goonies marquee!! :D

Also regarding that Goonies I game... I have to look into that I never knew that.
