Wont stop rolling
« on: October 26, 2003, 02:17:01 am »
I have a hantarex 9110 and it will not stop rolling. I use a scan converter, which works great on my friends WG7400, even in 640x480. I set the vhold perfectly, and someting as subtle as the wind blowing ( its outside for now) sets off the v hold.  My buddys robotron and SFII have at least a 16th of play in the vhold that sets its sweet spot. Mine is about 1/100th of an inch. Any suggestions. I replaced the POT and it still did not solve it. I do believe the chassis might be bad, or part of the control board with the vhold trim. Thanks

Hantarex monitors are well known for needing capkits.

Thank you. I paid $250 for what was supposted to be a "new" cab. I am trying to get my money back. I has bondo spots as its been dropped, and now the monitor problem. I do believe i was knowingly sold a worthless cab. Labor on a cap kit, at a monitor shop would be more then i paid i bet, and for paying decent money, i do not belive it is my problem to have to do. Thanks again.

Wow! Being dropped is not a good thing. It can cause internal damage to the picture tube in the monitor or crack the monitor circuit board. Monitors do not like rough handling.

Check if teh V-sync cable going out from the monitor is connected to the Jamma Composite Synch pin. SOmetimes you need to have both V and H synch connected to stabilize the picture.. ;)
