USB hub for PS and n64

Want to add PS and N64 capability to my cabinet.  I looked into adaptoid for N64 which seems to be the best adapter for the N64 controller.  There are also PS adapters.  What I want to do is mount the N64 and PS connectors on the outside of my cabinet.  Then when I want to play N64, I plug in two N64 controllers.  If I want to play PS, I plug in two PS controllers.  If I keep the USB end of these adapters plugged in to a USB hub, are the controllers hot swappable.  I would like to plug N' play without having to change any configurations.  Any ideas?

The easiest way would be to buy 4 ps2 only adaptors and 4 n64 only adaptors.  My guess is if the manufacturers had the ability to auto-detect the inserted controller they would be doing it by now and remove the switch.

they also have adapters that do both N64 and PS ... but they're molded into the same plastic box at right angles and wouldn't mount to the front well without some serious dremel action, I think.
check www.levelsix.com .  I think they sell those there ...

I know that the ps/n64 all in one usb adapter has to be re configured each time you switch between the controllers. But I'm sure that you can get separate adapters for each controller, plug them all in, configure them all and never have to unplug them. You could leave them hidden behind some door with notches for the controller cords to hang out when they're in use.
