What's in Watertown, NY?
« on: October 14, 2003, 02:40:04 pm »
o I've been informed that we will be moving in the next six months to a year to the Watertown, NY region.

I'm particularly concerned as I think I'm living in the hotspot of the Northeast for arcade related stuff.  Watertown is near the Canadian border, up by the St. Lawrence River.

Right now I'm a stones throw from NYC, Boston, Hartford.  I know at least 15 collectors within two hours of here (Brattleboro, VT) and a smattering of vendors, route operators.

What's to find in the Watertown region?  Or am I going to be damned into Arcade Hell?

I used to drive several hours a few times a year to get to the Salmon River in Pulaski which is a half-hour south of Watertown.  It's a totally insane fishing hot-spot because 30 pound salmon will run up the rather small river from Lake Ontario to lay their eggs.  You end up with shoulder-to-shoulder fishermen all up and down the river.  Definetly worth checking out if you're nearby.

So...there's pretty much nothing there, eh?
