Problem, that's not my basement, its my front room.
If you couldn't tell, yes I'm single. I like to throw parties about every 2-3 months and it works perfectly.
I didn't know a thing about kegerators either. I got the fridge from a resale shop for $35 (talked them down from $50). Spent an hour cleaning it up and it was good. The tap system I got off of Ebay for about $220 shipped I think, and that included everything. Regulators, tapper, CO2 tank, gauges, and tubing. All that I really had to do was drill a hole in the front door (which just happened to be recommended at 1 1/8, the same size as the control panel pushbutton holes!). Went to a welding supply shop and had the CO2 filled (cost aobut $15) and the keg.
If you can read english and are proficient enough to build a control panel or entire arcade cab, the kegerator will take a max of 2 hours to do. I spent more time looking for the fridge itself.
One other thing you can do is go to home depot, and get some appliance paint. A friend liked our idea, got all the stuff, painted his orange and blue and put some of those big car magnets for gameday as has a Bears Kegerator. Very cool!
