  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hey I am new to the arcade scene.  My brother and I picked up a 2 player asteroids cocktail cabinet.  On further inspection and research it looks like we bought a bootleg Hoei StarCastle cocktail that was converted into an asteroids cabinet.  The cab needs a bit of work.  Mostly the vector monitor is a little fadded and blurry, and the sound does not work.  I have worked out the sound issue, it looks like its has a bad potentiometre? on the amp board.  My real problem is that the player 2 screen is off centre.  I have tried adjusting the layout of the screen by twisting some little nobs on the pcb board and on the vector monitor.  It adjusts the screen, but I can't get player 1 and 2 to line up with one another, it always seems that when it flips one or the other is off screen a bit.  Also wanted to include some pictures of the PCB.  I have looked all over the internet and cant find a 2 pcb asteroids board.  I thought maybe some one could identify it for me.
