Am I SOL? A48JLL40X46 Monitor Neck Broken
« on: October 20, 2012, 08:22:56 pm »
Like the subject says...I was moving my monitor from one machine to my Ms. Pac man and acidently forgot to unplug the chassis neck.  I broke the glass neck, yanked out the silver innerds, and now have a broken monitor.  Can anything be done to fix this?  Should I just chuck the tube now?

Tube is toast... Keep the chassis maybe you can find a replacement tube from a donor TV at some point.

keep the yoke too. your donor tube won't have the same specs on it's yoke...

write down the tube number and keep it and screwdriver in your pocket, if your trolling around one day and see a TV out on the curb for collection day rip her open and check the tube #. you may get lucky.

What is the chassis worth? I may just sell it.
