Gaelgo World Rally Championship - sound not working
« on: October 10, 2012, 08:07:12 am »
Anyone have any good tips on finding the reason why the mentioned PCB has no sound? I've been busy with my cab but now that I'm starting to reach the finish line with that, I would like to get the PCB fully working. Thanks!

Hm, I'm not familiar with the game or specific board. But, since you seem certain it is a board issue should we assume that you have checked all wiring and speaker(s) etc?

Is it an onboard amplifier or external amplifier?
Is it software volume control or potentiometer?

It is hard to help with the lack of information... However some gameboards are known for dying, when it comes to sound caused by leaking capacitors eroding the circuits and so on. Lethal Enforcers and all other Konami games using the same custom chip have that problem.
