  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
midway isolation transformer 30v and 10v ?
« on: October 04, 2012, 08:10:44 am »
i have a midway MK 1 cabinet with a tekken tag board. board is powered by a switching power supply. i have a 3 prong connector going from the midway transformer to the monitor chassis, middle is traced to ground, one outside green wire is 30v and the other outside green wire is 10v.

my marque lights up just fine? i havnt taken enough apart to know what voltage is going to the marque . but shouldn't the green wires i tested be closer to 110v/120v?

the board works, have power from a switching power supply, sound is working, and the cp worked after i changed some microswitches caked it soda ? coffee? i have video working for now via a cga/ega to vga adaptor board run to an lcd monitor so that i could test everything else.

the monitor is a k7000 series and requires an isolation transformer.

an idea to help me going ... i have several large UPS 's , those have isolation on each port, could i use that for pluging in the arcade monitor?
