Aracde System Help
« on: September 22, 2012, 04:40:24 am »
Hello There

I new here (I hope i posted in the right area)

I going to make a arcade system and would  have it coin operated just wondering what should I use MAME pc based program etc

how do i use mame and how do i get it to boot straight in to it with out no need of mouse etc

i got buttons and joystick

I would like to play games like Pokemon pacman king kong and lots more games

and how do i use and wire up the coin oprerated mechine slot to compter and be able to use it so user's can play games
after the coin has been put in

and i would like to know how i can make a game select menu so user's can select game and then insert coins to play

I wont to be able to use joysitck for the games and navagtion as I would not like a mouse or keyboard being operated

Once I know how to use mame etc I would set up the pc for it

I just wont to press power button and mame to start up and i select game and insert coins

any help will be appericated

Thanks

I would start by downloading MAME and start playing around with it. Most of what you are asking is built into it. Get the easy to use version here (it's what I use)

You won't get a lot of help setting things up to take quarters before choosing a game because it would benefit someone who wants to use MAME to make money, which is a violation of the license. ;)

There is a section in the wiki about hiding windows.

Are there coin-op Pokemon games in MAME?

Using mame for profit without express written permission by the mame team violates Mame's EULA.  Stop, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars.
