Hyperspin will not effect the speed of the emulator.  Once it launches a game, it will just go into suspend mode taking as little resources as possible until it gets control back

So if an emulator works fine from the command prompt, it will run the same through the frontend.

Now will the frontend run on your system is the real question.  Hyperspin is a bit of a resource hog... but thats just when moving around the wheel and drawing all the images... but once a game launches, it doesn't draw anything.
