Use mouse in DDSOM

Hi  I've been trying for 4.5 hours to make player one move up down left and right by moving the mouse up and down.
I want to play DDSOM 4 players so one have to use the mouse, but i cant get it to work.

Can someone please tell me if this is even possible, if it is can somebody please tell me how to do becouse im way in over my head with this one.

I use mame32 and MAME 0.146
