That was the year they went to the Super Bowl. They didn't *need* to win that game, as they had clinched the division two weeks earlier. Just sayin'.

That's right.  Because a champion rolls over in pregame warmups at the sight of 3" of snow.  Watching those guys on the sidelines I was embarrassed for them.

Heh, I had REALLY GOOD seats for that game, and the guy a few seats down from me jumped onto the field and tried to hug Junior Seau.  Seau was laughing and everybody thought it was in fun.  They did arrest the guy, of course, but then they tried to hang assault and battery charges on the poor jerk.  I was 20 yards away and saw the whole thing.  Dude ran over, hugged Seau, they slowly fell down because the guy was drunk and Seau tried to hold him up but failed, and nobody stopped laughing the whole time.  The next day in the papers it was a "tackle, assault and battery on the sideline."

Pats stripped those season tickets, too, which must have sucked for the people that actually owned them.  It wasn't that guy.

Hoopz didn't add my second week pick to the list, so I guess I'm immune to my pick.  Does that mean I should pick the Monday night game instead?  Heh.

New York wins beats Tampa Bay by more than 6.5 points
Dallas beats Seattle by more than 3
New England beats Cardinals by more than 14
New Orleans beats Panthers

We'll see if I still have my $25 in a week...
Sooo...
1 out of 4 (and lucky to get THAT) gets you what exactly?

Everyone seems to understand the rules now so how about we stop the practice rounds and start the real game?   ;D

$17 on a $10 bet.  Back to my original $20 balance this season.   ;D

I think the trick to longevity is just to stay away from Cowboys games.  Either side of them.  They've killed me in this contest a lot and I would have been wrong on both games this season if I had picked an outcome.

Yeah I felt obligated to pick them since I would have picked them week one. Redskins would have axed me anyway. Lose big or go home....or something

Cowboys AND Ravens.  You can never count on either one.  They play to the level of their competition, and not well.

I'm torn.  This is the only football pool I participate in, so going out in week 2 was harsh...  That said, as a Dolphins fan, it was one of the best Sundays in a long time, especially since I happen to really dislike Oakland.  A great trifecta for me.

Anyone noticing a trend of massive home team advantage?

Saw Manning get a horse collar tackle and then kneed in the neck last night and absolutely nothing.  Anytime a player starts acting like he deserves a flag, he seemed to get one last night.

Got one of those sick feelings in my stomach when the ref called a penalty on "93 red" last night.  These scab refs have no idea what they're doing.

Last night was a good game, could have been better, Refs made if nearly unwatchable.  Well, it would have been unwatchable for me but I had Manning, Ryan, Jones, Gonzales and MacGahee going on 2 fantasy teams so I HAD to watch to see what happened.  But it was brutal to sit through.

You can't horse collar a quarterback, he's the one player on the field that can get tackled like that, if he's in the pocket. But yeah, these refs are pretty terrible.

Anyone noticing a trend of massive home team advantage?

I think it's like 61% of all home teams have won through week 2.  Only week 2, but still.  I would say their bias to the crowd noise is unprofessional.  Oh wait, they are unprofessional.

Chicago Bears defeat St. Louis Rams

And for those keeping track, latest edition of lunatic bets:

Bears win by 6.5
Dallas over Tampa by 5.5
Detroit Lions beat Titans
Jets beat Dolphins

4 years of breaking even.... let's see if my streak of mediocrity continues...
