Hantarex MTC 9300 help required
« on: August 22, 2012, 03:32:56 am »
Hi, I bought a neo geo machine, the monitor in it is a Hantarex mtc 9300.
It works... but the screen is so dim that you have to almost have the lights off to see it.
I have adjsted the screen, contrast ect...
There is a bit of screen burn you can see when monitor is off saying insert credits and level 4 (from metal slug game in it)

So, Im guessing this monitor has had thousands and thousands of hours use..

There is a couple of faint white vertical lines on left of screen..

I have been told that the voltages may be low, or that the tube itself has had its day due to age and use.

Is there anything that can be done to bring the brightness up again on it?

I have the monitor removed from the machine at moment.. (I have put another monitor in machine from a different game I had, and it looks amazing now

Look forward to any help..

I dont even know how to remove the plasic case around the unit.. its all enclosed on this model.
