The movie
Koyaanisqatsi came up in a thread in the Project Announcements forum.
It looked intriguing, so I rented it.
I had a pretty strong negative reaction to it and made an inflamatory comment in said thread.

Rather than mess up a build thread, I thought it better to discuss the movie here.
Here is my take:
I was extremely disappointed. I thought it was going to be an epic take on the human condition that would evoke some kind of awe or emotion out of me.
It did nothing for me. I can imagine it being epic if I were on drugs, but I was not on drugs.
It felt like stock footage with new-age music overlayed and nothing more. ooooh mountain ranges...then rocks..then water....then bugs...omg that's so clever.

It's like describing evolution without words man (in stoner voice).
The movie has spectacular reviews, so obviously I'm in the minority here, but I call them as I see them.
