So I just finished installing my trackball, mounting plate and all, only to discover that I mounted it sideways!!

(i.e. rotated 90 degrees). I really don't want to re-install it, as it would involve taking everything apart and building a new mounting-plate.
Initially, I thought I could just reconfigure MAME so that "Mouse Y" would be mapped to "Track X Analog", and vise-versa. While that swapped the axes as I had hoped, the X axis was still "flipped" in a sense (i.e. scrolling left would end up scrolling right, vise versa).
I don't think there's any more hope in the MAME settings, but perhaps an external program and/or modified mouse driver could be used? The only thing I've found so far on Google is a program called "Mafmouse", but it is not freeware and the trial version expires. Has anyone come across anything else that would provide a (free) software solution?.. I would really appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks,
