A few problems with this monitor

I bought a machine with have what I believe is just a WG 4600 in it. It has a few different issues going on with it.

* The picture is washed out and very dim, with very little color

* There are lines spanning across the screen horizontally (When screen is horizontal position).

* Every 3 seconds, the screen pulses with a color, but it just seems to be the reds. Then the screen washes out again.

Is this a cap issue?

General rule with a wonky montor is to re-cap it.

turn down screen control as it is in overdrive >white-line's<
then if it does not come up in brightness,chk the tube it's self
it could be what we call gunning down , ie may need a rejv or a clean and blance

Thanks for the help. I was trying to adjust the screen control, and it wasn't working. When trying, I noticed more problems. The neckboard is snapped in half. I didn't initially notice because of the cardboard shield that was covering the neckboard. I am pretty sure that it would be easily fixable since it is such old electronics.

That is not all though. I pulled the neckboard off to see if there was any damage to the tube. The neck and yoke looked fine to me, but when I looked back at the neckboard, I noticed that two of the pins to the tube were still inserted into the board. Is there any way to transplant the pins back into the tube, or is it officially a lost cause?

2 of the pin's from the tube it's-self ?
did the tube break ?,because them pin's are glassed in with the neck of the tube
or they could be your dummie pin's which i have seen,in this case 1 on each side of the foucs pin,which is a single pin on the tube
just about in the middle of the tube

From what I can see, the tube still looks intact. I guess they could be dummy pins, I hope so. I took a couple photos to see if someone can say for sure.

no it look's fine
what u have there is the socket for the tube
and believe it or not the plastic end of the tube
remove the glue/silcon fron around the plastic :plug:
and place it back on the neck of the tube
it is called the end plug
it is there so u do not hit that tit u see on the end of the neck
because if u do u will degas the tube :ie: remove the vacum
and then it's light's for the tube
go easy
as i said the single pin is the foucs pin
