Probably more game related than anyone else who's passed recently (at least the ones who have been posted here).  He did the 3d models for Quake, QII and QIII.

Probably not as well known as Carmack, Romero, American McGhee etc at id Software but an outstanding contributor nonetheless.

Did they ever figure out what happened to him? By all accounts, he was a pretty healthy guy.
