I don't think what they did is particularly legal.... you can't shut down a site that doesn't host any files for copyright infringement.  Unfotunately their servers were in the Ukraine.

It's a pointless act anyway... I search for torrents via google. There isn't one end all and be all torrent site anymore..... these guys must think it's still 2001.

I get like 5-7mb/sec from another private site(invite only thing) while demonoid was mostly under 1mb/sec. I almost never used it anyway unless for really old rare stuff I couldnt fin anywhere else.

Noooo...  Dang and someone just mentioned to me that Demonoid had a much better quality torrent of the Goosebumps entire collection than the one hosted at ---No torrents please - thanks!---.. Which a lot of the episodes looked like they were just ripped from Youtube.

..Yeh corny I know but I've been d/l all those spooky kids shows I used to love watching when I was younger.  Just got done d/l the entire collection of Are You Afraid Of The Dark!

Interesting that the article says it was the DDOS that led to Ukraine officials to look closer at the site. If it wasn't for that blurb I would'be thought it was "officials" that triggered the DDOS as a sort of preemptive strike.

Lol, yeh that's awesome.  One of my favorite episodes.  I'm not sure if they're on Youtube, I just d/l the entire 7 seaons from ---No torrents please - thanks!---.  Normaly I prefer to buy the physical copy to own.. But its kinda hard to do that when Nickelodeon never releases it on dvd here in the states.  Plus I already bought most of the episodes on the PSN before realizing their episode selection was limited and they were all out of sequence

i used demonoid for console games...not much else. i dunno what everyone else was experincing with the speed being low...i'll bet your isp was throttling it down, i had consistently fast speeds (except for instances where there was 1 seed and 300 leechers on a brand new torrent.)



i get all my tv shows from ---No torrents please - thanks!--- you have to maintain a decent ul/dl ratio or you don't get to download...but that's what it's all about right? and they have most everything...


all my music and  movies from a cross reference tracker (isohunt) so basically i have everything covered since they pool their results from dozens of sites. (---No torrents please - thanks!--- etc.).

The other day, I had to make a service call of a few sorts to my provider. One of the issues was slow-down, and said 'it *feels* like I'm being throttled. Are you familiar with throttling?'  She said yesss......   I just laughed for a bit. I had a good time with her.

   Nicce, Goosebumps Funky Forest.  Sucks, I never even got to try out Demonoid..  and the complete GB torrent I'm checking out has a handful of episodes below 100MB that are just unbearable to watch.. so pixelated and audio out of sync..  I think I actually have a couple of those episodes on vhs in my GB collection somewhere.  I just wish I had some better video capturing tool on my computer to transfer..  The one I use came with my Sony camcorder and sometimes when it starts capturing within the first minute, it will lag and skip few frames.. and I'm one of those people where it has to be flawless so I sometimes have to do two or three takes.
