ArcadeVGA 3000 artifacts on boot screen
« on: July 26, 2012, 11:03:56 am »
Hi. My ArcadeVGA 3000 show artifacts before loading Windows. I've found out I'm not the only one with this issue. Here's a video of a guy who shows the problem. I don't know why this happens. The card works flawlessly however, past that screen. Even the bios menus are displayed correctly.

Same problem here. Do you use the AwardBios and/or have a Core2Duo processor? I saw a vid In YouTube with a guy having the same issue with the same setup as I have. Could be a vidcard/BIOS conflict on boot. The card runs fine other than that opening screen.

I can only figure that somehow some data is getting inserted into the boot block of the video card. Because the problem doesn't exist if I put in a different video card.   ???

ALWAYS go to your motherboard/computer manufacturer website and download and install the latest BIOS for the board.

A BIOS update can fix a multitude of issues.

I had a computer a number of years ago that chronically ran hot and overheated even when idle. A BIOS update specifically addressed this issue and cleared it right up.
