Mamewah, Mame, Bezels and a new sound hiccup!?
« on: June 14, 2012, 01:08:19 pm »
I installed bezels for a lot of my vert. games and now when they are launched with mame, I get a stutter/hiccup, as if the game is reloading 5 or 6 times, then it comes up fine.  It's just a "st,st,st,st,st" sound, you don't see anything.  Also, the sound on Donkey Kong has gone funky.  There's a lot of breaks in the sound when playing.

The hiccuping really only started when I added bezels, but the Donkey Kong hitches in the sound have gotten 100x worse since adding the bezels.

Any clue?

Currently running a P4 with 2GB ram and XP.  Mamewah front end and Mame .127.

Thanks!
AJ

Maybe try a different version of Mame and see if its only happening with .127.

Try updating active X. Sometimes that works with weird issues too.
