Hyperspin, Xpadder and Wireless 360 Controllers
« on: June 13, 2012, 02:51:08 pm »
I am using hyperspin as my FE and I am using 4 wireless xbox 360 controllers.  I tried setting up all my controllers thru the emulators but the issue is if you dont start the emulator with all 4 controllers powered on it defaults to the original controls in most emulators, and then I have to reprogram everything all over again.  So my plan is to use xpadder.  Now here are where my questions begin.  I have about 15 emu's I want to setup multiple controllers for. Do I need to make a profile for each controller for each emu?  Is there any easy way where I don't have to make 40 different xpadder profiles?  Also I want to be able to switch in and out of emulators thru hyperspin and have the xpadder profile load for each controller each time I switch into a new emulator.  So I guess it would have to close the xpadder profile once I exit a emu and head back into hyperspin.  Is there an easy way to do this?  This is all pretty new to me and I screw up a bunch of stuff almost anytime I try change anything, so the easier it is, or the more detailed the explanation the better.  Thanks for any help.

I too am using xpadder and HS (HS doesn't play nice with my U360s) and here's how I have it set up. I made an xpadder profile with the HS default keyboard settings and set it to activate when HS is active. Then I made a blank profile and set it as the default. That way when you open anything that's NOT HS, (emulator), it just sees the controller as a gamepad. Then, I set each emulator's input settings with the gamepads. As long as the emulator supports gamepads and saves your input configs, you're golden. Some have issues, like I know AAE doesn't support gamepad inputs, so I made a xpadder profile for that. Also, if you need help with any of that, or want to set different configs for individual games, feel free to hit me on PM.
