just got a elite 360 and was wondering if it cheaper to just buy a xbox one or is it cheaper to add your own for less type of thing.

also do they have a 120+ GB that will work on the fat black elite's?

I had a launch all these years got rid of it a few months back and now going with a somewhat newer setup.

  • I glow in the dark.
You have to buy Microsoft Approved Hard Drives.

I got one off Ebay that was custom, and they work but do not allow for installation of certain games or backward compatibility.

Buyer beware in those circumstances.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

  • I break stuff...then fix it...sometimes
if you buy a particular (Western digital SATA i belive) drive and flash it with the firmware available on the internets that somone removed from an official drive... it will work in the 360.

you can only go as big as the biggest drive you can get for an xbox (i belive 320gb is the biggest right now) so buying a 500gb or 1tb drive and hoping to throw it in won't work.

I was under the impression that you could go bigger, at least off line...
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen
