WG K7000 - No Green
« on: May 30, 2012, 04:16:56 pm »
Hi guys, I've been lurking for years with the dream of having my own arcade machine, now it's becoming a reality and I've figured out every problem with the exception of this.

On a WG K7000 Chassis with a Zenith G-A63ADG25X tube, my screen doesn't show green.

The only real troubleshooting I've tried is running a fresh wire from the J-PAC to the green input of the monitor to eliminate it being a wiring problem. I also quickly used that wire in the red input of the chassis and a red bar appeared where the green should be.

Now when it comes to arcade monitors, I'm total newbie. I've decided on a few options but since this is a realm I have no experience in, I though I would throw them out here so someone who is wiser than I can chime in.

- Attempt to repair...whatever the problem could be.
- Buy a replacement chassis and use the original tube
- Try to find a 25" CRT TV at Goodwill
- other ????

Any help from anyone with this problem would be awesome, thanks!

Could always be a dead gun but I guess it doesn't hurt to do some troubleshooting before jumping to that conclusion.
