I've got everything on my arcade cab ready to go... one problem. I used the default keys on MAME (Shift, Alt, CTRL etc...) to use in my IPAC. Problem is that the Dreamcast and PS emus are using those keys as hotkeys. Is there any way to remove the hotkey feature from those emus? I understand that I can do this using something like regedit or something like that? Anyone run into this issue?

Autohotkey can block keys and post alternative ones, but it doesn't work for all emulators.  (not sure about the ones you mentioned)

If it were me, I'd reprogram the ipac to output different keys.

Using Shift, Alt, & Ctrl is just a bad idea to begin with IMO.

Okay, thanks. I figured it might be more trouble than it's worth... I'm having issues with my Ipac though... guess I'll post that one in its own thread.

Glad I read this, I never thought about this problem.
I'll end up running into the same thing.
Did you simply change you ipac configuration ?

Forgive my ignorance, can you not just change the button assignments in the emulator itself ?
(that way it would match up with MAME)

My latest project is going to be a MAME machine with MaLa and a full assortment of emulators (and complete ROM sets). Everything from Atari upto select PS1 and Dreamcast games. I had never continplated that the button assignments would be different. Complete oversight !

Not will NullDC or ePSXe since those keystrokes either don't work in the emulator for mapping or cause wonky things to happen.  I had to make a different mapping with my IPAC4 to eliminate a few of those buttons so everything would work right.  Of course I formatted my computer and forgot to make a backup of those files :)
