Video Games, Comics, and Beer?
« on: May 08, 2012, 01:22:06 pm »
I've seen all 3 of these topics discussed frequently on these boards, so I'm bringing to you attention a blending of the 3... Arcade Brewery, joining with comics writes/artists to create comic stories that are told on the beer bottles themselves, and the beers themselves are brewed to fit with the story being told.

Full disclosure - This doesn't exist yet, it's a Kickstarter type project seeking funds, but they've already developed partnerships with established comics creators, such as Tony Moore which you know from "Walking Dead".  The arcade element works in as they are creating a travelling arcade, whatever that means, and some of the rewards for giving $$$ to Kickstarter are game related.

Don't know if the beer is any good, if the stories are worth the labels they'll be printed on, or anything else, but an interesting combination to say the least.  Article on the endeavor here: http://ifanboy.com/articles/arcade-brewery-kickstarts-comics-and-craft-beer/

How fun does a "Drink and Draw" club sound?  Sweet! :)
